Kool Aid Adventures!

Today I tried my hands at kool aid dyeing. I had a skein of yarn that I just didn't like the color of, so I went to google and found a article on knitty, http://knitty.com/ISSUEfall02/FEATdyedwool.html The article gave all the instruction I needed to try my hand at overdyeing the yucky colored yarn. I got out the yucky yarn, put in fruit punch and set it on the stove to heat up. It came out cool! I wish I had remembered to take some before pics, but I was so inspired and excited, I got out another skein of wool to dye. The best part was I didn't need any special equipment and clean up was so easy! I will definitly be trying this again.

It's a lazy Sunday!

Hi! My name is Nicky and here I am finally writing a blog. I have been wanting to start a blog for quite some time, but just haven't had the nerve or the time. My goal is to talk about my favorite hobbies and a bit about my lifestyle.

Today not much happened. Worked on my "July Baby Blanket" which actually needs to be done in June, June 12th to be exact. Have a pair of rainbow socks on the needles too. Am working on the second sock on magic loop, toe up, however, haven't really been working on it lately. Need to finish it for the Jimmy Beans KAL by the end of May.

As for fishing, hubby and I are planning on going on Wednesday! Cross your fingers we catch something.
